Dear Alli,

Still on the road with Mother. Seems what she really, really needed was some time away from Father, so I will be accompying her for the new few weeks or so until she has calmed down a bit and Father has been on his own for a while. It happens often enough, usually once a year where Father just refuses to acknowledge that Mother really is helpful in running the business in the lands, and so she leaves and he learns and then they are all happy-go-lucky once again.

But, I digress, and should keep to the topic of the journey and, I suppose, now vacation with Mother. So far it has been grand, as truly as any vacation with her is. While in Tijalo, besides seeing a few plays, she also took me to this amazing spa! There were half-naked men everywhere who gave us sensual massages with all sorts of lovely smelling oils. I even got to take a mud bath! Can you imagine bathing in mud?! It seems almost like an oxymoron, and yet,it was increditably relaxing and great for my skin!

Ah, but I suppose you don't want to hear about my activities at the spa as much as my date with Sir Antion Clemper.

Yes, that's right! I had a date while I was there! It was pretty amazing, but again, one of those set up by Mother. So while Antion was a few years older than I, more like a decade actually, but he was kind and sweet and very courteous. It was surprising actually. He told me right off he had agreed to the date simply because of how Mother had asked, but had no intention of asking for my hand. He felt it wasn't right to steal my young for an old man like himself. He really wasn't all that old, but sweet all the same.

A simple date to dinner and then dancing, which was wonderful. That is one of the better parts of older men, they always seem to dance well. Ah...someday perhaps I will find a young gentleman who dances just as well and is handsome too. Well, I must be off. Mother is calling me for dinner.

By My Hand,
Brianne A. Alcinoos
